THE KEYS TO ADVANCING QUICKLY AS A CBW FACILITATOR

On the way to become the facilitator of Community Building Workshops you should fill some conditions and attend in several events. All of them we will tell you soon. 

 

Basic are 4 Modules: 

Training I: 5-Day Introductory Training

Training II: Practicing Basic Interventions, How to Present the CBW/CBST Introduction, Debrief 

Training III: Practicum/Organizing a CBW or CBST, Community Building Skills Training Format, Alternative Designs

Training IV: Bringing it all together: Skill Review, Practical Applications, Project Results, Exam

TOPICS COVERED:

1. The importance of the Introduction and Debrief.
2. Why ground rules are important. The difference between ground rules and guidelines for participation. How to match ground rules to your participant group.
3. How to facilitate a highly effective CBW Debrief including: 4-Stages presentation, group exercises, reflection exercises, how to match the right debrief for each group.
4. How to deliver a highly effective CBW Introduction including: Welcome, Agenda, Schedule, Ground Rules, Guidelines for Communication, Vision Exercise, and more.
5. The 7 most important facilitator interventions and how to master them.
6. How to run a pre-workshop CBW Facilitator preparation meeting with the facilitator team.
7. The 5 keys to being an effective and supportive member of the facilitator team. The five don’ts for being an effective and supportive team member.
8. How to run a CBW Facilitator huddle.
9. Communications:
   1. Pre-workshop emails and communications with participants.
   2. Post Workshop Participant Interest Form.
   3. Post workshop brochure and communications with participants.
10. CBI UPDATES:
11. What is the difference between a CBW and CBST? How CBSTs can be used more effectively in business, organizations, and human service programs.

The training will mix short lectures with experiential exercises, role plays and circle time.  As part of this training, you will receive written copies of:
