Dear friends,
we would like to kindly invite you to OUR INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY BUILDING FACILITATOR TRAINING, which is methodically based on the work of M. Scott Peck M.D., renowned bestselling author of The Road Less Traveled and The Different Drum.
This training aims for facilitators, social workers, psychologists, social service providers, counselors, team building and change management consultants, trainers, members of intentional communities, clergy & members of faith based organizations, community organizers, and people interested in personal, professional or spiritual growth.
The training will be leaded by Edward Groody from US. Ed worked with and was trained directly by Scott Peck, and served on the original staff of Scott Peck’s non-profit organization, the Foundation for Community Encouragement (FCE). He has over 50 years of combined experience facilitating Community Building in a variety of settings including intentional communities, corporate team building and leadership development, prisons, ex-offender programs, youth programs, diversity trainings, programs for victims of sexual abuse, jobs programs, and many others. He is currently the consultant on a first of its kind 6-year city-wide Community Building training and implementation project in the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States. He was also colleague of Bob Roberts, who pioneered the use of Community Building in prisons and with ex-offenders. Edward is the world’s leading expert in integrating Community Builöding into social service, criminal justice, corporate team building and other practical applications.
The purpose of this training is twofold:
On the one hand, we learn to facilitate Community Building processes in a style originating directly from Scott Peck. But we also will integrate new learnings from pioneering applications of Community Building such as the Milwaukee project in the United States. The training combines Community Building process, lecture, experiential exercises, discussion, role play and various other methods to create a powerful and transformative learning experience. All participants receive a training manual and certificate from the Community Building Institute (CBI).
